Barbie Featured in LACMA "California Design" Exhibit

To celebrate the opening of California Design, 1930–1965: “Living in a Modern Way" at the LA County Museum of Art (LACMA), we're taking you "behind the scenes" to get a glimpse of the new exhibit and two of its shining stars - the original Barbie® and Ken® dolls! The exhibit also features an original 1962 Barbie Dream House, which Lisa McKnight (VP, Barbie Marketing) lovingly calls "A mid-century mecca of design in doll size."

The behind-the-scenes video features interviews with Lisa, as well as LACMA's Exhibit Curator Wendy Kaplan and Assistant Curator Bobbye Tigerman, as they talk about Barbie and her place in the history of southern California design:
