We've got an eyewitness report from this year's Fashion's Night Out in NYC, an amazing evening featuring fun, celebrities, and our favorite fashionista, Barbie!
A few weeks ago I found myself in the middle of the annual Fashion's Night Out in Soho, NYC, an amazing event that any fashion lover should experience at least once. Most of the action took place in about a three-block radius in this trendy New York neighborhood, and at times the streets were so crowded you could hardly move. It was like Times Square on New Year's Eve, but with shopping.
The energy in the crowd was electric, and everywhere you looked there was something exciting going on. Many stores had lines half way down the block, with people dressed to impress waiting to be let inside to mingle, party, and of course - shop! Some stores served champagne and hors d'oeuvres, some featured live bands, and there was even a mobile salon parked in front of one, offering on-the-spot manicures.
Out on the streets it seemed like every shiny black limousine in town was dropping off the hottest celebrities. Kim Kardashian and Pauly D nearly caused a riot when they arrived at Kim's new store, Dash, right down the block from Intermix, where fashion icon Anna Wintour made an appearance, while Gwen Stefani was rocking out just a block away at Sephora.
I finally made it through the crazy crowds cheering for Kim K, and as I walked past the Alexis Bittar store, I couldn't believe my luck. I'd just spotted one of the biggest celebs of all. Naturally I had to go inside and grab a photo. Doesn't Barbie look fabulous in her FNO outfit?
As I continued through the crowd, I snapped pictures of a few of the fashionistas that caught my eye, and I suddenly realized there was something familiar about all of my faves. Do these outfits remind you of anyone?
It's no surprise that a crowd full of fashion lovers would include outfits that could have come straight from Barbie doll's own closet! Model No. 04, Model No. 08, and Model No. 14 from Barbie Basics Collection 2.5 would have fit in perfectly with the Soho crowd on Fashion's Night Out.
All in all, it was an amazing evening, filled with exciting events, stylish celebrities, and our favorite fashion doll all coming together to celebrate style. And really, what could be more Barbie than that?
What do you think of Barbie doll's sparkling gold, silver, and bronze looks? Which is your favorite?
