Stardoll®, the most popular online fashion and gaming community for girls, just got real! Partnering with Barbie®, avatars from the site have been transformed into actual dolls, dressed in outfits inspired by some of the site's most popular stores.

The enormously successful Stardoll® site allows users to pick an avatar, which can then be dressed in any type of outfit the user desires. With a vast selection of dresses, bags, shoes, and accessories available in virtual stores in Starplaza, the fashion fun is limitless.

Now, the new Stardoll® by Barbie® collection translates those virtual avatars into actual, physical dolls. “This partnership represents two of the world’s largest global girls’ brands uniting to create the ultimate fashion play experience without boundaries,” said Stephanie Cota, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing for Barbie and Girls. “We look forward to inviting the Stardoll® community into the 3-dimensional Barbie world with new signature dolls and fashions.”

This beautiful new line features rooted eyelashes and unique face and body sculpts, and each doll represents a distinct fashion persona. An initial eight dolls are available, inspired by four different Stardoll® stores, giving Stardoll® fans a diverse variety of styles.

Three stores – “Pretty ‘n Love,” “Fallen Angel,” and “Bonjour Bizou” – are already popular Starplaza destinations. Pretty n' Love is all about being flirty and feminine, with fun fashions and sweet details. Fallen Angel goes goth, with edgy looks that dare to be a little different. Bonjour Bizou is all about the sassy side of style, with totally trendy looks that are completely current.

The fourth Starplaza store, “Doll Space,” is brand-new and inspired by the Doll Space Barbie dolls! These dolls dress it up with sparkle and shine, featuring a little glitter and a whole lot of glam.

The fashion won’t stop there, either! More dolls are coming in 2012, inspired by additional Stardoll® stores.
